Sleat Community Trust is to go ahead with plans to identify up to four housing plots at Tormore.

After a successful community consultation the Trust have been given a strong local mandate to proceed and in particular to provide discounted "affordable" sites in the area.

In their report back of the consultation they said that money raised from the sale would go toward funding the redevelopment of the Armadale trading site.

Summing up the Trust said: In the light of the feedback received from the community and evidenced by the consultation, the Board has decided to proceed with idenitfying and mapping up to four plots.

"Whether or how disposals may eventually take place will be dependent upon what funding we obtain for the Armadale redevelopment nd wider discussion with other bodies,including landowners and land managers, about the provision of affordable housing opportunities in Sleat.
