Skye Mountain Rescue were out for around seven hours at the week-end as they helped an injured walker to safety.
The 69 years old was knocked unconscious and suffered cuts and grazes after falling around 60-70 feet on Am Caisteal in the Cuillin.
According to Skye Mountain Rescue team leader, Gerry Akroyd, the alarm was raised after a walking companion of the injured man made it back to the roadside.
Gerry added: “That was around 2.30pm. Once we had located the man fortunately his injuries were not too serious and we were able to walk him out. We returned at about 9.30pm.”
