Portree lifeboat in call out

A multi agency response was involved in getting proper medical care for a casualty who had to be evacuated from Raasay.

Portree Lifeboat was launched around 10pm last night (Apr 25) after Scottish Ambulance Service requested assistance. The local RNLI crew were tasked to transport Ambulance crew across to the island.

At the same time Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were on hand to assist the Coastguard Helicopter R948 who then transferred the casualty to Broadford Airstrip where they, in turn, were met by Kyle Coastguard Rescue Team‬.
