2016 Masterchef: The Professionals winner, Gary Maclean, wowed his audience with a dialogue as rich and pleasing as his dishes.

As he demonstrated how to make a chocolate fondant, he told his audience the last time he had been in Skye was when he was 17.  

He also remarked how much he enjoyed the journey up, saying it was the sort of journey that couldn't be rushed...  as he couldn't overtake all the camper vans!

The father of five shared stories from his time on Masterchef and tips on how to make pasta.

Gary was on Skye for the Spirit of Skye festival, which will be running on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 of June.  

The audience included visitors from Wales and Alaska.  

The festival brings together whisky, gin, ale, food, music, arts, heritage and culture.
