Two adults and a child on board a small dinghy were rescued after they found themselves in difficulty.
The dinghy was drifting offshore in the Gairloch area.
Portree lifeboat was launched at 2:22pm on Wednesday 2 August after Stornoway Coastguard raised the alarm.
The lifeboat crew stated that: "Other local vessels responded allowing for a quick resolution to a potentially serious incident. Portree Lifeboat was stood down and returned to station about 1500 hours where it was made ready for service."
