The skye times mobile

Every seat was filled at Sabhal Mor Ostaig last night (Tuesday 3 April.)

SEALL's fourth sold out concert in the last six weeks featured Old Blind Dogs.  The event was opened by local band, The Northenders.

Duncan MacInnes of SEALL spoke briefly to the audience, remarking on the fact that the concert sold out - in spite of the event being billed as "Blind Old Dogs" not "Old Blind Dogs!"

Prior to the performances, a short promotion video from SEALL was played, outlining the organisations achievements and aims.

The Northenders are made up of Dougal McKiggan (borderpipes and whistles), Sam Smith (guitar), Eoghainn Beaton (bodhran) and Stewart Taylor (smallpipes and whistles).   Sam Smith explained they were supposed to have another piper playing, but he took ill.  "So, to spite him, we are playing some songs he doesn't know!" joked Sam.

The songs included one written by Dougal McKiggan.
