Kate Forbes MSP now serve on the Scottish Parliament’s Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee following a reshuffle of backbench MSPs.
It has been announced that Kate Forbes MSP will also sit on the Health and Sport Committee, and will no longer be part of the Environment and Standards committees.
Kate will continue to be Parliamentary Liaison Officer for Cabinet Secretary for Finance Derek Mackay.
Since her election in May 2016, Kate has served on the Environment Committee, and during that time the committee has discussed subjects such as salmon farming, wildlife crime and plastic pollution.
The constituency MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch was added to Holyrood’s Standards Committee last year, as it undertook an enquiry into sexual harassment.
The Health and Sport Committee is currently reviewing scrutiny of NHS health boards as well as investigating care home sustainability.
The Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee is considering salmon farming, transport and issues around stage two of the new Islands (Scotland) Bill.
Kate will attend her two new committees for the first time next week.
