A local textiles studio will be closing down.
Wheatear Textiles, owned by Maxine Stephenson, will close its doors for the last time on Friday 13 at 2pm.
Maxine worked with Harris Tweed, creating bespoke handbags - later expanding to include lampshades, cushions and footstools in her shop - until ill health meant she could no longer operate as she had been.
Maxine told The Skye Times: "I can't believe how successful Wheatear Textiles became in such a short length of time.
"I have had the most amazing experience through the studio, meeting and dealing with people from all over the world. I am devastated that through this illness (fibromyalgia) that I can't physically make them anymore but have had to come to terms with that.
"Now for the next chapter in my life, though it may be a quiet one!"
Many of the items in stock will be reduced for the closing sale.
