Artist Pam Carter sees the peak of her 25th anniversary celebrations next week at An Talla Dearg in Sleat.
Pam explained earlier in the year: “This year is my 25th year exhibiting at Isle Ornsay.
"As always I'll be painting in the Gallery. I've arranged a few fun events.” These include a Landscape Painting Competition for young people, an Oil Painting demonstration and a Fundraising Raffle in aid of the local Camuscross & Duisdale Initiative.
Skye and Lochalsh school pupils were invited to showcase their talent by entering the art competition. The best works will be displayed at the exhibition from Thursday August 18 to Sunday August 21.
Also on August 18, a maximum of 30 visitors are invited to view an oil painting demonstration from 6pm to 9pm. An entrance fee of £10 per person will be charged and all funds go to CDI for a local community hub.
A raffle will also help to raise funds for the C.D.I. Prizes include a small postcard of an original oil painting, a framed limited edition giclée print of a familiar Skye view and other ancillaries. The tickets cost £5.
Pam Carter points out that the show gives the young people a first chance to show their work alongside that of an established artist.
She also reminds people that last chance to buy tickets for the Prize draw is near while there are few spaces left on the demo course.
The exhibition closes on Tuesday August 23.
