Youngsters in the Trotternish area won a top prize at the Mòd.
Clann Thròndairnis won top prize in the Folk Group Competition for Under 13 year olds.
Clann Thròndairnis also won other significant competitions in the children’s categories’ at the Mòd.
The winning group received £500 prize from Wipro Limited, a leading global information technology, consulting and business process Services Company.
Councillor Alister Mackinnon, Chair of the Highland Council’s Gaelic Strategy and Implementation Group, said: “This is an excellent competition, as the young people are able to select their own choice, which can be accompanied by musical instruments if they desire. The young people do perform to such a high standard. Congratulations to everyone who took part.”
