A Skye photographer has made it to the shortlist of Kate Forbes' photography competition.
Adrian Trendall is one of five whose photographs made it to the final shortlist of the "Made in the Highlands" themed competition.
Mr Trendall, whose entry was the Black Cuillin Sunset, added: "I am delighted that 'Black Cuillin Sunset' has been shortlisted in such a prestigious competition.
"As a mountain guide and photographer living on Skye, it is a fantastic feeling to share my office with a wider audience."
Lukas Bornheim from Fort William, Ellen Kammerath from Acharacle, Stuart Lilley from Laggan in Badenoch, Kyle MacIntyre from Fort William are the other finalists.
Kate Forbes MSP said: "This constituency is beautiful, and photographers have brought it to life in so many unique ways.
"I'm amazed at the talent and skill that hundreds of photographers have displayed in their photos.
"I'm equally overwhelmed at the number of entrants and it's been very difficult to pick a winner.
"That's why I'm putting the final five photos on my Facebook page, and the feedback I receive will help decide the winner as well as the two runners-up.
"I'm always looking for new ways to engage people with democracy and the Scottish Parliament so that they feel it is their Parliament."
The overall winning picture will be framed and kept in the MSP's Scottish Parliament office in Edinburgh.
