A 72-year-old man with dementia is missing from the Inverarish area of Raasay.

Alistair Lovie was last seen walking at a disused mine area north of Inverarish about 11:00 am on Sunday the 31st of March 2019.

He is described as 5ft 10, medium build with brown hair and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a black jacket, jeans, a black cap, a blue shirt and a red jumper.

Police Sergeant David Canning, of Portree Police Office stated: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Alistair as he suffers from dementia and is likely to have lost his way whilst out walking. Alistair is reasonably physically fit but he may be in a confused state. I would urge anyone who was walking in the Rasaay area today or who lives in the area and has seen Alistair today to contact Portree Police on 101. "

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch quoting incident number 2548 of Sunday the 31st of March 2019 or speak with any police officer.
