Two Skye sisters will be running a 5k in memory of their grandmother.

Hannah and Morven Shankie and their boyfriends, Kurk and Steven, will be taking part in the Inverness 5k on 26 May 2019.

The sisters will be raising money for Cancer Research UK during their Race for Life run.

Their grandmother, Annie MacLeod, passed away due to cancer four years ago.

Hannah told Skye Times Online that she heard about the event on Facebook.

"I thought: 'What a great way to raise money for charity and also a good reason to try and get fit!'

"Our Nana was a big part of our family.

"She was such a lovely person."

The team's fundraising page can be found here.
