A Taste of the Wild comes to Mallaig this week-end with a festival of food and drink.

Saturday 10 September offers the chance to discover the region's artisan producers and get hands on during a Highland Larder Masterclass' featuring venison, langoustines, mushrooms, scallops and much more.

A Big fish Debate will discuss the future of sea fishing and there’s a chance to try your hand at prawn peeling in the World Prawn Peeling Competition or feast on wild larder straight from the surrounding hills and sea, while dancing the night away at the Scran & Dram Ceilidh.

Taste the Wild is a community event organised by volunteers from the community and if you want to find out the festival programme just follow the link here
