GLENDALE HIGHLAND MARKET 25 June 11am-2pm Glendale Hall IV55 8WJ As part of the 2019 Skye Food & Drink Festival, the remotest farmers market in the UK launches its summer season with a special free event for all the family to enjoy. Fresh local produce, craft stalls, children’s activities, food, drink and merriment are all part of the day. The market is open every Tuesday over the summer months from 11am to 2pm. TALISKER WHISKY MASTERCLASS 26 June 1.30pm Aros Centre Portree IV51 9EU Talisker Distillery is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, consistently producing award-winning fine whiskies which, once tasted, are rarely forgotten. In this masterclass, you will learn about the history of Talisker with distillery ambassador Lesley Taylor and experience a tutored tasting of five expressions of Talisker including the exceptional Talisker 25-year-old.

CLOOTIE DUMPLINGS DEMO 27 June 2pm Aros Centre Portree IV51 9EU Join Michelle Maddox from the award-winning Clootie McToot Dumplings in Abernethy, Perthshire, who will demonstrate a clootie dumpling being made the way her Gran taught her from a traditional family recipe. There will be lots of tips to make that perfect clootie dumpling as well as some cool serving suggestions.

CHOCOLATE MAKING WORKSHOP 28 June 2pm Dunollie Hotel Broadford IV49 9AE Indulge in the magic of chocolate making and learn how to impress your friends. Award-winning Glenshiel chocolatier Finlay MacDonald uses local ingredients, many from Skye, to flavour his amazing chocolate range. Finlay will be on hand to showcase some of the secrets to his wonderfully sweet creations.

FESTIVAL MARKET Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 11am-5pm Broadford Hall Enjoy a feast of local flavours from 25 fantastic food and drink suppliers from all over Skye and the surrounding regions in the festival’s two-day artisan market. There will be opportunities to taste and buy, live music and a family-friendly cèilidh dance on the Saturday night will see the festival out for 2019. The market will include an artisan café brought to the festival by Ardvasar’s popular Café 1925.

FESTIVAL TRADITIONAL FAMILY CEILIDH Saturday 29 June 7.30pm-10.30pm Dust off your dancing shoes and grab a partner for the Skye Food & Drink Festival’s classic Scottish Cèilidh night featuring great music from the Breakish Ceilidh Band, dancing, bar and good craic.
