The skye times mobile

Two people were rescued after becoming stranded at the Fairy Pools yesterday (Sunday 26 May.)

The pair needed help after they got stuck on a mid-river island.

A major exhibition entitled Wild and Majestic: Romantic Visions of Scotland will examine how Scotland gained its reputation as a land of wilderness, heroism and history.

Gaelic language and culture feature throughout the exhibition, with the main narrative presented in both English and Gaelic.

The event will also feature a partnership on Gaelic content between National Museums Scotland and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

Experts from Sabhal Mòr Ostaig have also assisted on the panel texts which will be presented in both English and Gaelic.

Two Skye sisters will be running a 5k in memory of their grandmother.

Hannah and Morven Shankie and their boyfriends, Kurk and Steven, will be taking part in the Inverness 5k on 26 May 2019.

The sisters will be raising money for Cancer Research UK during their Race for Life run.
